The closest thing to a nightmare I’ve had in a
long time. More like psychological horror. I was being rejected for being myself and living out of my
car. The world still looked very pretty and logical.

I walked through a beachfront city somewhere in Florida. I think it was on the East coast. I could see
the water on my right, past the small houses and hotels, it was a bright teal. Despite the sun being as
bright as it was, the weather was very cool, and there was a nice breeze. The city was old, you could
tell all of the buildings had been there since the 50s, and somehow all gentrification was kept away.
I arrived at a friend’s house. There was some kind of get-together happening, but I was more concerned
with the beauty of the water than I was with seeing friends. Hell, I don’t even remember which friends I
was with. I went out on to a screened-in patio on the second or third floor and grabbed a drink. I think
it was a cold margarita or something adjacent. There was a large assortment of cheese and crackers
outside, so I filled up a plate with snacks. I was completely enamored by the water, once again. I
looked through the patio screen, and I saw the water shimmering in the sun. It looked like a
kaleidoscope from where I was and it kept drawing me in.
As I went inside, the dream devolved and became something completely different. I found myself in some
kind of mansion. The building was dark, wet and falling apart. I had to navigate it to find an exit, but
me and my friends came across some kind of evil witch. My “friends” more-so still felt like the presence
of people around me; I don’t remember any particular faces. The witch was tormenting us; I don’t really
remember much either. I vaguely remember that to be released we had to listen to her thoughts, or
something along those lines. I had to tell everyone around me to just give her a chance, and it worked.
We all materialized on the streets of the beachfront city. It was cloudy out, and cooler. At this point
I was aware that the evil witch was actually my grandma. Once we walked back to her house, she
apologized to me and hugged me. I accepted her apology and forgave her.

I was in an abandoned, rotting, grey factory or facility of some sort. A mix of people I know now and
people I knew in 2023 were there. We were all living in the run-down building as if it were our college
dorms. Someone I don’t speak to anymore was there, and I recall getting into a disagreement with him
that sounded similar ones that lead up to our friendship ending in real life.

A friend and I were traveling somewhere by car, I don’t remember why. The world we were driving through
had thin one-lane interstate bridges that were twisting and turning high above the open ocean. But we
fell off the bridge at some point, and we died.
We ended up in some kind of an afterlife; it was very dark, but my friend was still there even though I
couldn’t really see her, I just saw her energy. I was made up of energy too. The world around us looked
like a large web, and as we traveled that web it showed us glimpses of our different lives throughout
time, and in those glimpses we were still friends even if we were animals or bugs. We spent some time
trying to come back to life through these gates into the living world, seeing the world momentarily from
these past lives before returning. I was able to “respawn” as myself in a place with a lot of friends
first, and they were so happy to see that I was alive. I don’t remember how this played out, but my
other friend was struggling to come back to life, and I was able to see her progress. I think she was
having trouble channeling her energy into returning as herself with her friends. When she came back,
everybody around us celebrated.
My family and her family threw a party to celebrate our life. We partied in a large house at night, and
there was a lot of beautiful food.

I went on a road trip to New York City, and I got checked into my hotel at night. I don’t remember the
road trip itself, but I just know that’s how I arrived there. I decided to walk over to a convenient
store, looking to buy weed; I don’t smoke weed anymore so I don’t know why I wanted it. The store had
two large fish tanks near the back, which were visibly full of water and broccoli. I sat there for a
moment sifting through the broccoli, but I was only able to find one nugget of weed in the tank on the
bottom shelf. On my way to check out I dropped my phone and it snapped in half, but it was still held
together by a few wires. I was really freaked over losing my GPS while I was all alone. I forgot all
about the weed and decided to keep walking through the busy streets of NYC, trying to get back to my
hotel.
Eventually I came across a street that led into a forest, just behind a railroad crossing. It was
daytime now, and I forgot about the city and my phone. I walked further into the path and quickly
emerged at a beach. The beach was covered in giant gazebo-like structures. They were at least a hundred
feet long in one direction, but they came together to create some kind of communal space that was larger
than I tried to comprehend. The floor was sand, but it was harder than the sand outside, and the edges
of the gazebos had loose wire mesh, as if they were keeping bugs out, even though they had open
entrances and exits. The space was cool, the air flowing through the gazebos was crisp and icy. The
ocean was still visible from most of the edges of gazebo, and it was a bright blue. There were people
walking through the structures and it was clear that it was part of an active community. Everyone in my
area was instructed (telepathically?) to start cleaning up trash in our area. I found a leaf blower,
which I used to blow trash and debris into a pile, as if I knew someone else would come by to pick it
up. I saw various other people digging through the sand to uncover buried trash, which I never would
have thought could have been there before. Nobody was bothered by these activities; it felt great to
help out this community I stumbled upon.
I eventually departed from the beach space into a nearby building that was linked to the gazebos. The
space was lit up mostly with outside light, and the ground was made of the same type of shredded rubber
flooring that you see at waterparks, but the interior had the same atmosphere as a small aquarium. I
walked though the hallways of the building, which maintained cool colors with wood pilings for support
along the structure. At this point, I was aware of my phone; it was fixed as if nothing happened to it.
I opened a dating app and immediately found someone from my past. As soon as I was aware of that, I was
already hanging out with them. We talked within the lobby of the building, but I don’t remember the
topics we discussed, and I woke up soon after.

I had sleep paralysis for the first time in a very long time. I was lying in bed; I could see the
outlines of my room, and I could see the light coming in from my window. I dreamed that a loved one, or
a past partner, was trying to wake me up. They didn’t have a body, but I felt them, and I heard their
voice. I couldn’t move, and I immediately knew I was having sleep paralysis.

The moment I woke up I wrote down as much as I could about my dream, but I quickly fell a back asleep
for a few minutes. I wrote:
I dreamed I was road-tripping across America on my own.
Nothing was spelled right and I don’t remember the dream, but I believe it. I dream about driving places
more than most things.

I dreamt that my dad was secretly renting an apartment in my town as a time capsule for his younger
adult life. It was like some kind of obsession he had to preserve the people and memories. There were a
lot of electronics he was using and VHS recordings from the late 80s and 90s. I played one of the VHS
tapes and I saw him recording a conversation with a friend; he sounded much younger. I got upset because
I realized he would have been spending tens of thousands of dollars to keep everything as it was. I
tried asking him why he kept everything and why he would spend all that money on it. I woke up, went
back to sleep, and all I could see was a large menu for ways to resume a dream. I pressed a button that
was labeled with something about resuming conversations. He wouldn’t give me a straight answer.
